Magge Head Kane was a noted doll artist who specialized in portrait artist dolls. Head was a co-founder in 1963 of the National Institute of American Doll Artists (NIADA). Molds of her dolls were available for anyone who wanted to reproduce an original. Some of her dolls were produced by companies like the Danbury Mint.
